Uh no.  Install the minimal 4.x, which supports the i386,
then stack the 5.0 kernel with ``cpu I386_CPU'', then
manually install 5.0 distributions (base, etc.) under
this kernel.  5.0 binaries (though optimized for 486),
will run perfectly on 386.
