Sigh.  I can't ftp from westhill to thud, nor can I NFS mount or
actually do *any* successful network operations (save "ping") from
westhill.  This worked in the past, so I've no idea what's going on.
Rebooting thud doesn't help either.

I'm going to have to figure some other way of getting the files
across, I guess! :-(
