I've just updated my IvyBridge Asus UX31A after last few months and brightness control is now working! Yay! Thanks to everybody related! The odd effect though is that backlight is getting disabled as soon as xorg starts. First press of hardware brightness keys fixes the issue, but first time I was quite confused. Any idea what may set such default? -- Alexander Motin
