It kills > all IA64 boxes if a FreeBSD/i386 disk is attached anywhere. What are you talking about? The IBM lockup was due to the presence of *Microsoft partition* of type 0xn5, for any value of n. If these systems also lock up with a dedicated disk, it's due to some other bug.
