/usr/ports/mail/imap-uw ] # grep -r -i "cert" *
shows that you can edit files/imap-uw.cnf and change the localhost-part

however, you might want to consider installing a better imap-server like
e.g. dovecot (/usr/ports/mail/dovecot)
