Subject: Tape backup - Travan on 2.2.2?

I found out the hard way (by buying a system which had a floppy tape
and only afterward RTFM) that most backup tape systems for PCs aren't
supported under FreeBSD. So I think I sacrifice a brand new Travan
floppy tape drive with accelerator, and go buy something SCSI. But all
SCSI tape systems seem to start hundreds of dollars higher.

1. Are there any SCSI tape drives which compete pricewise with floppy
   tape drives?

2. Any leads on refurb SCSI tape systems within modest budgets?

3. Are SCSI Travan drives supported in any way?

TIA
