I have 2 machines running freebsd-4.7, one of which is a samba server. I am trying to mount a directory on the other machine (my desktop) from the samba server using mount_smbfs, but that doesn't work. I looked at the log files and it seemed that the parameters were being sent incorrectly: [2003/01/05 06:36:03, 3] smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(858) Domain=[] NativeOS=[AIRYK] NativeLanMan=[7521] [2003/01/05 06:36:03, 3] smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(868) sesssetupX:name=[] [2003/01/05 06:36:03, 3] smbd/process.c:process_smb(878) Transaction 3 of length 90 [2003/01/05 06:36:03, 3] smbd/process.c:switch_message(685) switch message SMBtconX (pid 75638) it would appear that my username (airyk) is being sent as the NativeOS, and my domain (7521) is being sent as the NativeLanMan parameter.
