Thanks to all who replied to this question, both on and off the list. I=92= d like to keep the solution public so others can benefit from my experience= , strength, and hope (and pain). It seems that many others were able to ge= t mod_jk working with Tomcat on the same system. My problem is that I need= Tomcat 4.1 and Java 1.4..x. As far as I can tell, Java 1.4 is not quite r= eady for prime time on FreeBSD.=20 I am currently running Java 1.4 and Tomcat 4.1.12 on a separate Solaris ser= ver. I=92m then using mod_jk to bridge the Solaris Tomcat server and the F= reeBSD Apache server. It appears that the problem may be that my workers.p= roperties file has no entry for workers.tomcat_home or workers.java_home. Perhaps installing Java 1.3 and Tomcat on the FreeBSD Apache server would h= elp, even though I won=92t actually be talking to Tomcat on FreeBSD. Does = anyone have any thoughts on this idea, or am I shooting myself in the foot = by mixing Java versions? =20 _____________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE e-mail account at http://www.volcanomail.com _____________________________________________________________ Select your own custom email address for FREE!
