I tell people I use FreeBSD and they give me a facial expression that can only be described as their having heard that I "free-base" as in, the drogues... Anyways - We'll get there. FreeBSD desperately *needs* a better /stand/sysinstall, more documentation written in a step by step manner and including some kind of file called "Transition from User to Root/Sysadmin" or the like. It would go on to say things plainly, like "Familiarize yourself with fdisk, mount, fsck, LINT, dmesg, /etc/*, and so forth..."
