You are wrong.  style(9) just isn't going to change WRT tab's.

Do you honestly think you can get all 250 committers to agree to that
change?  If not, then "no-change" is always the default.  Continuing to
wax philosphic about your dislikes of <tab> in source code is only
serving to see your name on To: lines (ie, your name in lights).
