The machine is ns1.babes.com and the mail server is on
another machine named mail.babes.com.

named running on ns1 has:
;babes.com
@ IN SOA ns1.babes.com
IN A 10.0.0.1
ns1 IN A 10.0.0.1
mail IN A 10.0.0.2 ; another machine
 IN MX 1 mail.babes.com

On mail.babes.com there's a perfectly good mail user
named lolla.

On ns1.babes.com if I do:
mail lolla@babes.com
I get:
no such user.

So it's obvious that sendmail ain't checking that MX.
I've tricked it by aliasing lolla > lolla@another.com
and then on mail.babes.com: forwared lolla@another.com
> lolla@babes.com BUT that's nuts. What's the trick.

The host file only has localhost in it.

AND what's the name of the file that has in it, "Use
host first and the use named", or something like that?
