pkg2ng nukes everything under /var/db/pkg instead of just the files that were used for pkg_install metadata purposes. pkg2ng should preserve files like +IGNOREME, etc (either until they can be converted over to something more maintainable or just let them bitrot for all eternity) so it makes the transition to pkgng a little smoother.

Of course, adding an option like -r / -f, etc so the files get purged or adding interactive prompts is another way to resolve this, but I wouldn't invest too much time in this as it's a one-way street program and the target audience isn't too huge probably..
