Hope this helps. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Mon Feb 29 08:58:13 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 31BF3AB1BA9 for ; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1D15E634 for ; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 1C79DAB1BA8; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:13 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1C0CDAB1BA6 for ; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 0CD6A633 for ; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u1T8wCAX067746 for ; Mon, 29 Feb 2016 08:58:12 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: emulation@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 206943] [EXP-RUN] CentOS ports: for c6_64, install 32bit libraries alongside. Virtualbox-ose has disappeared from the list of packages (e.g., ht= tp://pkg.freebsd.org/freebsd:11:x86:64/latest/All/), and when I build from = source (portsnap fetch, then make install), virtualbox complains about a ve= rsion mismatch with the kernel and VMs don't run. Is this simply a timing thing as VirtualBox is updated to match recent 11.0= changes, or will there be a long term problem? This has also been reported in bugzilla. [1] Unluckily the machines building ports for head have been updated to a revision affected by that problem, so the build for the port has failed. The package will be available again once the cluster machines are updated to a newer snapshot unaffected by this bug (I don't know how often those are updated). So it's definitely a short term problem, actually already solved in the repositories, which isn't virtualbox or ports fault either. It's been using an API deprecated for the last 15 years. You don't need a new bump. taskqueue_enqueue has worked fine for a "fast" taskqueue since 700013, so you can use that version. Actually, I broke binary compat in HEAD as 11.0 hasn't shipped yet and 11.0 won't be released for a while yet. In this case I think ripping the band-aid off is fine, especially since the replacement API has been ready for such a long time (and goes back to 7.0). -- John Baldwin From owner-freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Wed Mar 2 22:30:52 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 137A0AC238D; Wed, 2 Mar 2016 22:30:52 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jkim@FreeBSD.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206c::16:87]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B5E6B1D1F; Wed, 2 Mar 2016 22:30:51 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jkim@FreeBSD.org) Subject: Re: SVN r296272 breaks virtualbox To: Michael Butler , freebsd-current References: <56D617D1.5040209@protected-networks.net> Cc: "freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org" From: Jung-uk Kim Message-ID: <56D7699B.10602@FreeBSD.org> Date: Wed, 2 Mar 2016 17:30:51 -0500 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; FreeBSD amd64; rv:38.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/38.6.0 MIME-Version: 1.0 In-Reply-To: <56D617D1.5040209@protected-networks.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-BeenThere: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.20 Precedence: list List-Id: Development of Emulators of other operating systems List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 02 Mar 2016 22:30:52 -0000 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 On 03/ 1/16 05:29 PM, Michael Butler wrote: > The removal of "taskqueue_enqueue_fast" breaks the virtualbox > kmods: > > Mar 1 16:54:36 toshi kernel: vboxdrv: fAsync=0 offMin=0x914 > offMax=0x151c Mar 1 16:54:36 toshi kernel: link_elf_obj: symbol > taskqueue_enqueue_fast undefined Mar 1 16:54:36 toshi kernel: > linker_load_file: Unsupported file type Mar 1 16:54:36 toshi > kernel: link_elf_obj: symbol taskqueue_enqueue_fast undefined Mar > 1 16:54:36 toshi kernel: linker_load_file: Unsupported file type > Mar 1 16:54:36 toshi kernel: KLD vboxnetadp.ko: depends on > vboxnetflt - not available or version mismatch Mar 1 16:54:36 > toshi kernel: linker_load_file: Unsupported file type It should be fixed now (r409965). Currently I face problems using the current ports with php70 port compiled. I don't want to go back to port php56. Those problems can easy be fixed when phpvirtualbox-4.3.2 gets an upgrade to phpvirtualbox-5.0-5 as it now support php7 out of the box. Please have a look: https://github.com/imoore76/phpvirtualbox/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.txt Changelog. But before upgrading, the new Virtualbox version must be upgraded also see https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads Please can those ports be upgraded by someone for support of systems running PHP 7? The port builds but the kernel module doesn't work properly so instead of breaking vbox for all people we will just stay at the last stable version that we have. phpvirtualbox is not backwards compatible so you have two options: 1) help on vbox 5.x port 2) create a phpvirtualbox patch for php7 From owner-freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Sat Mar 5 14:56:12 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 15143A133F0 for ; Sat, 5 Mar 2016 14:56:12 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from lobo@bsd.com.br) Received: from mail-qk0-x22b.google.com (mail-qk0-x22b.google.com [IPv6:2607:f8b0:400d:c09::22b]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (Client CN "smtp.gmail.com", Issuer "Google Internet Authority G2" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C6FB41CF for ; Sat, 5 Mar 2016 14:56:11 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from lobo@bsd.com.br) Received: by mail-qk0-x22b.google.com with SMTP id x1so31951261qkc.1 for ; Sat, 05 Mar 2016 06:56:11 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=bsd.com.br; s=capeta; h=date:from:to:subject:message-id:in-reply-to:references:organization :mime-version:content-transfer-encoding; bh=FXRT2FQmgmSxzDIrnqy8yZs7it2gkAGBjHVh+1WJ5a0=; b=DUOZLAV7+1rIKWh/LSwvple6QZrvK+83gGl9tx98Y26zbmobV5ttprv0G4vKKtUz2c PYz1UPYJ8+O7RvsGAAiM98rd1XH2tT5rihDTGhIfuh1p3/YzWt+JLx0Wym711d20Fd5H DcaZuGT2sdwXZwhioIDRlZlo9nxxnxiWZREks= X-Google-DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=1e100.net; s=20130820; h=x-gm-message-state:date:from:to:subject:message-id:in-reply-to :references:organization:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding; bh=FXRT2FQmgmSxzDIrnqy8yZs7it2gkAGBjHVh+1WJ5a0=; b=jDSUGJY4OXFke9jRZwUk7QnCC5tpo4LBiSMuwRU+0WZ1YRIu1Jau9K3qeTAdSlDPJm g/DmoqzExLblQKOkC1uDbFO+HTg84CJdE1Wm5rE0S9jnm7NtaMPIYAglc71u1Kj4m2jx FOoIWLGHUOuAsIJzIJFaiP0vZ0Itbvda8aFuTyUMdz3dghIzeA8E0Nbd29pVm5mhuiYm kxNQnHq7p/sKozJlxLOI9Be+bQ5Iamirr8LQVXPcFH0fXAbo7FzzfusYQpCkoyznWP/R XGAQQOfze9a1Yo8iXTId6ltdh2JA5FDh6zBjRzkUxLURkO/lvbllv8hQZWnnMSkaaXmm wSqQ== X-Gm-Message-State: AD7BkJIfBwpkaaK9Ovpii9vYlGJvQR1943uuhLxSsQoYKNexiiWfd/042OBOlqTpB/z7zA== X-Received: by 10.55.79.79 with SMTP id d76mr17153713qkb.76.1457189770864; Sat, 05 Mar 2016 06:56:10 -0800 (PST) Received: from Papi ([191.33.32.56]) by smtp.gmail.com with ESMTPSA id v5sm3997912qka.46.2016.03.05.06.56.09 for (version=TLS1_2 cipher=ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 bits=128/128); Sat, 05 Mar 2016 06:56:10 -0800 (PST) Date: Sat, 5 Mar 2016 12:01:26 -0300 From: Mario Lobo To: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Subject: Re: FreeBSD Port: phpvirtualbox-4.3.2 & virtualbox-ose-4.3.36 Message-ID: <20160305120126.078559e3@Papi> In-Reply-To: References: <000001d17672$14412ce0$3cc386a0$@quicknet.nl> Organization: BSD X-Mailer: Claws Mail 3.12.0 (GTK+ 2.24.25; amd64-portbld-freebsd10.2) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-BeenThere: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.21 Precedence: list List-Id: Development of Emulators of other operating systems List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 05 Mar 2016 14:56:12 -0000 On Sat, 5 Mar 2016 12:26:42 +0100 Bernhard Fr=C3=B6hlich wrote: > Am 05.03.2016 1:01 vorm. schrieb "Michael" : > > > > Hi all, > > > > > > > > I write this as I like to request a major upgrade for virtualbox > > related ports on freebsd. > > > > > > > > Currently I face problems using the current ports with php70 port > compiled. > > > > I don't want to go back to port php56. > > > > > > > > Those problems can easy be fixed when phpvirtualbox-4.3.2 gets an > > upgrade > to > > phpvirtualbox-5.0-5 > > > > as it now support php7 out of the box. > > > > Please have a look: > > https://github.com/imoore76/phpvirtualbox/blob/develop/CHANGELOG.txt > > Changelog. > > > > But before upgrading, the new Virtualbox version must be upgraded > > also see https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads > > > > > > > > Please can those ports be upgraded by someone for support of systems > running > > PHP 7?
