Sorry, I jumped in late on this one, but when you had the CDROM attached to
the secondary controller did you modify the kernel values and enable the
secondary IDE controller? ( not sure if it's there on the default setup,
primary on IRQ14 and secondary on 15?) And you tried it on both slave and
master on the second and primary IDE controllers?
