Uh, last I checked, 'lpr' is in the base system. You don't need to
install cups to get "some version of lpr". No port should install
the cups-version of lpr if it "might need" it, it should only do that
if it DOES need the cups-specific version.

The whole reason for splitting up the old cups port into cups-base
and cups was that the KDE port was causing the cups version of lpr
to be installed, which in turn generated bug reports from those people
who did NOT expect to be using CUPS, and did not understand why they
were getting into weird printing problems. Those weird printing
problems usually end up in my mailbox (gad@freebsd.org), one way or
another.

In the case of samba, I can believe there might be a direct benefit
from using the cups-version instead of the default system version,
but the way this change is described makes me a little uneasy. I'm
a bit too busy with the holiday right now, but I'd like to have a
firmer idea as to why the samba port "must" install the alternate
version of lpr. And if samba does require cups-lpr, then try to
think a little bit about how do this without confusing people who
aren't aware of cups.
