It's exactly the same as the thruput of FreeBSD, because it IS FreeBSD...

I vaguely recollect some web page with information on building a core
router based on *BSD kernel, and that page featured some figures in
packets per second (even more vaguely I remember something like 400kpps on
a special x86 board).
