Yes.  A 2930u2 has an external narrow, internal narrow, and internal LVD
connector.  A 2940u2 has an external narrow, internal narrow, internal
wide, and internal LVD connects.  The only difference between a 2940u2
and 2940u2w is the external connector/bus.
