ACPI should work well though it may require a little DSDT modification due to some bugs in the BIOS (AFAIU). CPU speed is well handled through the cpufreq(4) framework, especially on RELENG_6 (6.x). powerd(8) watches after CPU idleness in order to increase or decrease CPU speed. ipw(4) is a driver for Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 whereas the iwi(4) driver supports Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG/2225BG/2915ABG.
