Real size is greater than the listed value . For this reason , it is exceeding the size of a single layer DVD being 4.7 GB . You may use a "Double Layer" DVD ( which is 8.5 GB ) for such "big" files to burn . You need to check your DVD recorder about its reading/recording capability ( whether it is able to read/record double layer DVD or not ) . Use of "Double Layer" DVD will be much cheaper than Blue-Ray reader/recorder and disks . It is very likely that your DVD reader/recorder is able to utilize "Double Layer" DVD disks it it is not very old . Mehmet Erol Sanliturk
