I don't have anything other than -current to test.
Any help for those systems would be appreciated.
As I check out both RELENG_6 and RELENG_6_2, they have res_ninit()
BTW, RELENG_5* don't
Probably {OSVERSION} should be pushed from 5* to the moment res_ninit() 
appearse.

Or do you try to say that >= 502102 have thread safe resolver even without 
res_ninit()?
