Hello everybody!

Few days ago I saw the test of FFS in FreeBSD and ext2fs in Linux.
They told here that FFS works ~10 time faster in raw access and
~10 times slower in block access. How that influece at the total
perfomance of the system?

And one more: few days ago RedHat announced that their next
distribution would have 64-bit JFS. What that would give to them?
Does anybody know about projects, which lead to improve FS perfomance
(for example switching to ext2fs or JFS)?

Sorry for my bad english.

Thanks a lot.
