Man page has examples. import is part of the ImageMagick suite in /usr/ports/graphics. If you don't have this installed you can create a screen dump in X using: xwd -frame -out default.xwd or if you are not using X and want a graphic dump of a console window: vidcontrol -p < /dev/whatever > outputfile.scr (or vidcontrol -P for a text dump) Cheers, Viktor
