            Bug ID: 198738
           Summary: Incorrect optimization flag SSE2 on i386
           Product: Ports & Packages
           Version: Latest
          Hardware: i386
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: Ports Framework
          Assignee: freebsd-ports-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: sasamotikomi@gmail.com
                CC: portmgr@FreeBSD.org

Many ports have -msse2 on 32-bit version FreeBSD.
I think it's incorrect, many modern 32-bit processor have SSE but SSE2 isn't.
As example affected many QT4/5 ports:
>From devel/qt5-core:

c++ -c -O2 -pipe -fstack-protector -fno-strict-aliasing -msse2 -pthread
-I/usr/local/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/local/lib/glib-2.0/include -O3
-fvisibility=hidden -fvisibility-inlines-hidden -std=c++11 -Wall -W -pthread
-D_THREAD_SAFE -fPIC -DQT_NO_MTDEV -DQT_NO_LIBUDEV -DQT_NO_EVDEV -DQT_GLIB
-DQT_NO_USING_NAMESPACE -DQT_BUILD_CORE_LIB -DQT_BUILDING_QT
-DQT_NO_CAST_TO_ASCII -DQT_ASCII_CAST_WARNINGS -DQT_MOC_COMPAT
-DQT_USE_QSTRINGBUILDER -DQT_DEPRECATED_WARNINGS
-DQT_DISABLE_DEPRECATED_BEFORE=0x050000 -DQT_USE_ICU -DQT_CORE_LIB
-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -DQT_NO_DEBUG -I. -I../../include
-I../../include/QtCore -I../../include/QtCore/5.4.1
-I../../include/QtCore/5.4.1/QtCore -Iglobal -I../3rdparty/harfbuzz/src
-I../3rdparty/md5 -I../3rdparty/md4 -I../3rdparty/sha3 -I.moc
-I/usr/local/lib/qt5/mkspecs/freebsd-clang -o .obj/qabstractanimation.o
animation/qabstractanimation.cpp

Even is define (in make.conf as CPUTYPE) processor without SSE2 support:

 c++ -c -O2 -pipe -march=athlon-xp -fstack-protector -fno-strict-aliasing
-msse2 -pthread -I/usr/local/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/local/lib/glib-2.0/include
-O3 -fvisibility=hidden -fvisibility-inlines-hidden -std=c++11 -Wall -W
-pthread -D_THREAD_SAFE -fPIC -DQT_NO_MTDEV -DQT_NO_LIBUDEV -DQT_NO_EVDEV
-DQT_GLIB -DQT_NO_USING_NAMESPACE -DQT_BUILD_CORE_LIB -DQT_BUILDING_QT
-DQT_NO_CAST_TO_ASCII -DQT_ASCII_CAST_WARNINGS -DQT_MOC_COMPAT
-DQT_USE_QSTRINGBUILDER -DQT_DEPRECATED_WARNINGS
-DQT_DISABLE_DEPRECATED_BEFORE=0x050000 -DQT_USE_ICU -DQT_CORE_LIB
-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -DQT_NO_DEBUG -I. -I../../include
-I../../include/QtCore -I../../include/QtCore/5.4.1
-I../../include/QtCore/5.4.1/QtCore -Iglobal -I../3rdparty/harfbuzz/src
-I../3rdparty/md5 -I../3rdparty/md4 -I../3rdparty/sha3 -I.moc
-I/usr/local/lib/qt5/mkspecs/freebsd-clang -o .obj/qdatetime.o
tools/qdatetime.cpp
