On the contrary, it is a very good idea indeed to mirror the swap partiti=
on
if your aim is to make your machine resilient against disk failure.  Losi=
ng
the swap will kill a machine just as dead as losing a filesystem.  The
performance of a mirrored root drive is a bit slower on write but general=
ly
faster on read -- it tends to pretty much even out in the end.
