Well, you are right - it wont run a stock -RELEASE kerenle either (with or without IPv6) so it looks like the kernel I have running is customised somehow, and I am going to ahve to try and rack down someone who can remember what makes it different from a 6.2-RELEASE. thanks. -pete.
