I've found that some programs do not work well with XFree86 4.2.0. I've heard (from FreeBSD mailing lists in Japan) that there are many XIM-related problems with XFree86 4.2.0. Emacs 21, XEmacs, Canna, etc. I think we have to fix these problems before next FreeBSD release. There is a XIM patch from XFree86.org. ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/4.2.0/fixes/4.2.0-xlib-i18n-module.patch I found that this patch solve the Emacs21 problem. Could you add this patch to the ports tree? -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Motoyuki Konno motoyuki@bsdclub.org (Home) motoyuki@FreeBSD.ORG (FreeBSD Project) http://www.freebsd.org/~motoyuki/ (WWW) To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
