I will run isdntrace next week and compare the outputs
between 0.51+layer1 and 0.61 with full debug level.
the diffs gave me no hint about a related change in layer2.

sure, but is is a diffrent machine:
the P5 works with 051+layer1 (or bisdn)
the 486 works only with bsidn,
i4b-061 still panics in a state, before bisdn logs the first AOC Messages.
I can not swap the computers, but i guess it is the ISDN partner.

the Telekom never granted me a bilingual, but there is something
installed (labeled by Philips Telekom) on the P5.
it may support 1TR6, but it is not documented.
