>Environment:
System: FreeBSD apollo.emma.line.org 8.2-STABLE FreeBSD 8.2-STABLE #20: Sun Oct 16 16:18:09 CEST 2011 toor@apollo.emma.line.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC amd64

>Description:
The recent port upgrade introduces a regression into the rc.d script,
which does not substitute %%PG_USER%% properly. Consequently, the
server does not start:

# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/postgres start
su: unknown login: %%PG_USER%%

Workaround: define postgresql_user=pgsql in /etc/rc.conf*.

Please remember to bump PORTREVISION after the fix.

>How-To-Repeat:
1. Install postgresql-server-8.4.9.

2. Make sure that your /etc/rc.conf or other files do *not*
   define $postgresql_user, then:

3. /usr/local/etc/rc.d/postgresql start
