Here we go again...

The laptop in question has a Windows® sound system compatible with 3D
surround Built-in stereo speakers. I have compiled `pcm' support in the
kernel of freebsd-stable and installed it. I made the device, but still
sound does not work. I'm testing it with `cat /dev/urandom >
/dev/sndstat' and using xmms.

What am I doing wrong?

pciconf -lv gives me the following:

[...]
none3@pci0:31:5: class=0x040100 card=0x8100104d chip=0x24858086 rev=0x02 hdr=0x00
    vendor   = 'Intel Corporation'
    device   = '82801CA/CAM (ICH3-S/ICH3-M) AC'97 Audio Controller'
    class    = multimedia
    subclass = audio
[...]
