BerkeleyDB from 6.0.20 onward uses the AGPL and this license is incompatible with LDAP. http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/guide.html#Database%20Software The OpenLDAP Project is deprecating use of BerkeleyDB in favor of LMDB.
