I have tried disbabling ACPI from both the loader and the Beastie menu
When I disable acpi from the loader and also set
hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range="1"
I just get the spining /|-\ characters until its stops hung then it reboots
after say a minute with no explaination of why etc
