David, you're welcome to move another one. sysinstall will load it automatically and it works fine -- what does the user care whether the driver is statically compiled into the kernel or loaded as a module? This is different from removing drivers from dokern.sh -- the driver is still available, just on the 2nd floppy instead of the 1st. - Murray On Fri, Jun 14, 2002 at 11:13:39AM -0700, David O'Brien wrote: > On Fri, Jun 14, 2002 at 11:08:19AM -0700, Murray Stokely wrote: > > murray 2002/06/14 11:08:18 PDT > > > > Added files: (Branch: RELENG_4) > > release/alpha drivers.conf > > Log: > > MFC: move de and txp drivers to mfsroot floppy so the kernel won't > > overflow for 4.6 / Alpha. > > `de' was probably one of the worst to pick -- as it is the built-in > controller for many Alpha's.
