Also, RELENG-3 is still there.  I just supped it yesterday.

IMHO, I'd treat this just like the upgrade from 2.x.2 to 3.0; test it
on a non-production system first, be prepared for weird & wacky
changes, and have a backup plan in case your system becomes hosed.
