I've been following this discussion with interest.  I don't know if it's 
relevent, but Im running 1.1.5.1R with the same printer problems.  I 
don't have anything else but the printer on IRQ 7.  I've tried two 
printers, a brother M-1709 and an epson LX 800.  Both exhibit the same 
slow printing problems.  Specs for the LX 800 should be easy enough to 
obtain.  BTW 1.1R had no problems with the same hardware.
