Dear FreeBSD-Group, I just received a 250GB external USB drive, which I tried on a FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE production system. But on the console I get the following: Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: umass0: Freecom product 0xfccd, rev 2.00/4.06, addr 2 Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: usbd_setup_pipe: failed to start endpoint, IOERROR Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: device_probe_and_attach: umass0 attach returned 6 Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: ugen0: Freecom product 0xfccd, rev 2.00/4.06, addr 2 Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: ugen0: setting configuration index 0 failed Aug 3 17:30:47 www /kernel: device_probe_and_attach: ugen0 attach returned 6 It is a Fujitsu/Siemens TX200, which the sollowing USB device information: Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: ohci0: <OHCI (generic) USB controller> mem 0xf8011000-0xf8011fff irq 9 at device 15.2 on pci0 Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: usb0: OHCI version 1.0, legacy support Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: usb0: <OHCI (generic) USB controller> on ohci0 Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: usb0: USB revision 1.0 Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: uhub0: (0x1166) OHCI root hub, class 9/0, rev 1.00/1.00, addr 1 Aug 6 23:48:01 www /kernel: uhub0: 4 ports with 4 removable, self powered A On a test PC with a 5.2.1 FreeBSD the drive maybe used (sysinstall displays the drive in the list of drives). Are there any chances to get this drive working on 4.9-RELEASE ? Or must I wait until 5.2 gets a production status ? Thanks Heiko Weber
