O'Reilly is unabashed and open about its commercial nature. They do what they think will sell, period. That's why, for example, they did a very administrator-friendly Web server for Windows but not for UNIX. They're pushing Linux because this is what they believe will sell. Only if FreeBSD is properly marketed will it achieve a significant profile. I'd be delighted to start a marketing team.
