I've applied both patches.

`make fetch' worked fine.
`make install' worked fine.

top now shows:

57983 nobody       92  15 18752K 16672K RUN      0:17 85.65% 55.71% setiathome

I haven't got X working on this box yet (you'll see my post in a minute).
I will let you know if xsetiatome is working as soon as I can.
