Subject:   no sound running current from febtober 21nd

mplayer doesn't work (no sound, video seems fine) , and cdcontrol doesn't work
but cdrom does start to spin. This worked in 4.x a few months ago.  
must have Stereolab!

BTW i did make sure the volume was turned up :)
