Each machine has an SMC8216T. The install is over NFS. The card is jumpered to software select. The visual device manager (sorry, forgot the name) suggested... IRQ: 10, I/0: 0x280 The device probe found... ed0 at port 0x280-0x29f iomem 0xd800-0xdbfff irq 10 on isa0 edo: address 00:00:c0:39:c6:9e, type SMC8216T (16 bit) I put in all the correct information for ifconfig. Here's some output from VT2 DEBUG: Command 'ifconfig ed0 inet 10.20.1.127 netmask 255.255.255.0' returns status of 0 DEBUG: Command 'route -n add default 10.20.1.123' returns status of 0 DEBUG: Network initialized successfully DEBUG: Found DNS entry for 10.20.1.123 successfully.. DEBUG: Executing command 'mount_nfs -r 1024 -P 10.20.1.123:/cdrom/dist' ed0: device timeout ed0: device timeout ed0: device timeout and so on, forever. I must be doing something wrong with these cards.
