I thought we'd all pretty much agreed that things like this don't belong in /etc/make.conf. I would have thought that this would be more at home in the system profile (as an environment variable) or in some ports-specific Makefile. I can remember discussions about such a Makefile, but I can't remember any resolution. Did we ever decide on a file to polute, other than /etc/make.conf? :-) Ciao, Sheldon.
