Well, its somehow corrupt.  

 > /dev/ad1f    486M   340M   106M    76%    /usr/ports


106MB isn't a lot.  I'm not sure that running out of space is your
problem, but it might be.

Try rm -rf'ing work, and building agaig, but redirecting the output to
a log file & see whats happening when the libXau.a is built.

Can't you just install the pkg?
