Previous to the patch, I was able to look at the status of each file.
Currently file permissions are globally readable, but now I can't even
view the status (which might be part of why I'm getting vague ps output)

jonz@mrhowell.netrail.net(43) % cd /proc/12919
jonz@mrhowell.netrail.net(44) % cat status
cat: status: Operation not permitted

Can't even cat it as root.
