I have a diamond Fireport 40 dual (ncr0 ncr1) which has my boot drive
on it. I also have an onboard Adaptec 7880 which has my cdroms and so
forth attached.

I want to add a drive to the adaptec controller but when I do the kernel
scans the adaptec first and calls the hard drive atached da0 even though
the motherboard bios scans the ncr controllers first (which has my boot
drive on it).

needless to say I get a kernel panic becuse it cant mount da0.

Is there any way to resove this? I tried changeing the order of ncr0 an
ahc1 in the kernel config but that didnt work.

Thanks in advance

Richard Puga.
