If set to `nomatch', it beeps only when there is no match. If set to `ambiguous, it beeps when there are multiple matches. If set to `notunique', it beeps when there is one exact and other longer matches. If unset, `ambiguous' is used. This variable should be added to the .tcshrc or .cshrc file in your home directory, like this: set matchbeep = nomatch ----- Original Message ----- From: "jason dictos" Subject: Beep when tab cannot incomplete > Hello, > > Where's the "disable beep when I can't complete the tab" setting? > > -Jason > _______________________________________________ > freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list > http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions > To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-questions-unsubscribe@freebsd.org" >
