Not true.  The 3.0 release will predate the 2.2.8 release.

"Upgrading from anything other than the most recent release is never
 supported".

So when 2.2.8 arrives, 3.0 will be "the most recent release".

Of course, we could just take issue with the use of "never", here...


On the other hand, if 2.2.8 is release, then does this mean that
upgrading from 2.2.8 to 3.0 *will* be supported?  I don't think
so; how can you test the upgrade path for something that doesn't
exist yet?  8-).

On beyond Zebra... when 2.2.8 is released, I guess the "never"
statement means that upgrading from 2.2.7-release to 3.0-release
won't be supported any longer... 8-) 8-).
