Not sure why you're running, but that's pretty much the case for the
last three years.

2000/01 2,966
1998/06 1,483
1997/02   800
1996/02   400
1995/02   200

It seems it was doubling every 12 months until 800 ports, and then
slowed down to about 2x every 18 months.

By the way, at this rate (*), we'll reach 10,000 ports in 31 more
months.  That will be around July or August of 2002, so get ready for
a mid-summer (or mid-winter for those in .au and .za) celebration.
