More of an x.org question than FreeBSD.org, but you may not have that
many "buttons."  I'm not sure what would happen in that case; I assume
you've checked the X logs?

[I have just "4 5" for the ZAxisMapping parameter, for a simple
Compaq-branded wheel mouse.]
