The following reply was made to PR ports/144639; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Marko Njezic" <sf@maxempire.com> To: <bug-followup@FreeBSD.org> Cc: Subject: Re: ports/144639: [PATCH] security/clamav-unofficial-sigs Date: Wed, 10 Mar 2010 23:23:20 +0100 I do not approve this patch as I believe it to not be necessary (also, it has a few mistakes, probably made by bad search/replace operation). In case of this port, rsync should basically behave like cp(1) and not use -p option as suggested in the patch. The real problem lies in rsync and some recent change to the ZFS file system, as stated in the following thread on freebsd-fs mailing list: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-fs/2010-March/007945.html So, I'm guessing that it would be best to submit a separate bug report against rsync in order to properly fix the problem. -- Regards, Marko Njezic - mr.maX @ MAX Interactive corp. > Maintainer of security/clamav-unofficial-sigs, > > Please note that PR ports/144639 has just been submitted. > > If it contains a patch for an upgrade, an enhancement or a bug fix > you agree on, reply to this email stating that you approve the patch > and a committer will take care of it. > > The full text of the PR can be found at: > http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=ports/144639 > > -- > Edwin Groothuis via the GNATS Auto Assign Tool > edwin@FreeBSD.org
