i have an AMD 486/100, vlb, promise 2300 controller and a fujitsu
2.5g drive. i have 4 partions defined, 1:dos, 2:165, 3:dos,
4:165. i can boot all partiions. but i have noticed that
during install/boot when probing for devices the system is looking
for wd0s5, wd0s6, wd0s7, wd0s8 repeatedly and reports back an
error " ... fsbn .... error...".
would some one explain the behavior? thank you. --b
