Hi, I'm just plinking along trying to teach myself setting
up a lan in my house, going for a peer to peer 10 base 2
set up between a 2.2.1 and a win nt box. Setting up the fbsd
box was not a real chore, I've been able to work through all
the issues thus far without too much a hassle, and I've
learned alot. But I'm stumped on starting named. I'm running
the named that comes with 2.2.1. When I attempt a named -b
/etc/namedb/named.boot I get back "syntax error near
<first line>". General experience with my mistakes leads me
to believe that the named.boot file has nothing to do with it,
but I will reproduce a few lines here for fun:

cache . named.root
primary . localhost
primary 127.in-... IP127

And so on. Netstat -r returns (snipped):
(the phys interface is an NE2000, so the device is ed0)
<D> <G> <F> <R> <U> <N>
default fbsdbox UGSc 1 6 ed0
10/24 link#1 UC 0 0
10/24 <addr> UHLW 2 1601 lo0
<loopback interface blah blah...>

I hope I've been brief without omitting too much. My main
questions would be: is this network architecture viable?
What might I be missing with named? I ktraced named but
all it told me was that it didn't like named.boot. (Back
to square one). Like I said I'm self-teaching me all this
network stuff, so this is not mission critiical (thank ghod),
but I want to learn. Thanks.
